Dr. Abdulla Azamov is a leading Uzbek mathematician, a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and a professor and Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He studied in the well-known Mech-Math department of M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (1966-70), and as a mathematician, is a member of Pontryagin scientific school. To date, he has published over 100 scientific papers in prestigious indexed international journals in various fields of mathematics, mainly differential equations, dynamical game theory, and control theory. In recent years, he has focused primarily on the theory of dynamical systems and its applications. Prof. Azamov is engaged in literary and philology as well. He has written plays and published several books about the literary heritage of the great Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi, as well as Zakhiriddin Babur, another Uzbek poet and the founder of India’s “Moghul Empire”. Prof. Azamov was awarded the badge of distinction The Order of Labor Glory (2016) and the honorary title of "Emeritus Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan" (2023).

Dr. Robert Bishop is the Vice Chancellor for Engineering at the Texas A&M System, Dean of Engineering at Texas A&M University, Director of the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and holds the Harold J. Haynes Dean’s Chair in Engineering.  He is a full professor position in the Department of Aerospace Engineering. Prior to academia, he was a member of the technical staff at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory. As an active researcher and scholar, Dr. Bishop is a specialist in systems theory, guidance and control of spacecraft, and navigation and estimation with a special interest in small satellites and planetary precision landing. He co-authors one of the world's leading textbooks in control theory adopted in hundreds of universities worldwide. Dr. Bishop received his PhD from Rice University in Electrical & Computer Engineering and his MS and BS from Texas A&M University in Aerospace Engineering.
